LOCATION

Polis the principal town for the northwest region and is a traditional Cypriot village huddled around a pedestrianised square. Polis is a great place to browse the many shops, enjoy a coffee watching the world pass by or dine at any of the wide selection of restaurants, tavernas and cafes which radiate out from the centre. The town has an archaeological museum and cultural centre. Polis also has an organised sand and shingle beach backed by tall Eucalyptus trees.

The seaside resort of Latchi located within a 5-minute drive with its picturesque harbour and marina features an array of inviting sea-front tavernas with a superb selection of fresh fish and seafood served daily. In the past, it served as a small port for shipping carobs. The old stone carob warehouses have been converted into restaurants, fish taverns and places of recreation.

The Akamas peninsular which covers approximately 230 square kilometres is where you will find wild landscape, amazing natural beauty, deep gorges and wide sandy bays. The diversity of wildlife is of outstanding ecological importance for the Mediterranean and the wide variety of fauna is certainly impressive. This area of outstanding natural beauty is crisscrossed with many walking trails so particularly suited to walkers, adventurers and those who enjoy painting, bird watching and photography. The coastline of this area can also be enjoyed by boat with daily excursions available from the marina.
